Worker’s Car Window Smashed by Unknown Assailant

A Wincharger worker reported his car window smashed after leaving work Tuesday in Sioux City. Police witnessed the incident but offered no protective action and no automatic legal response was taken against the assailant, leaving recourse to the county attorney. Professional Suspected As Burglar

North western Junior College in Orange City faced a burglary in which state agents and Sheriff Harry Dykstra suspect professional thieves. The criminals entered via the front door, punched through a safe to remove $180, then used a crowbar to open the back, a method called a can opener. A professor identified a man from a mug book, and police prepared a dragnet to capture the suspect for interrogation.
