J C Jones 92 Dies After Brief Illness in Hawarden

J C Jones 92 a longtime Hawarden resident died at Hawarden hospital at 2 00 am Saturday after a brief illness Born February 21 1862 in Sungman county Illinois he married Sarah Frances Scot in 1884 They farmed in Illinois and later moved to Hawarden Survivors include four sons Clarence of Wetonka South Dakota A E Jones Hawarden W A and Ralph Jones of Ireton two daughters Mrs Ida Willt Ireton and Mrs Dave Bartle Le Mars and numerous grandchildren great grandchildren and other relatives Pallbearers were six grandsons with out of town relatives listed attending the funeral The obituary notes extensive family connections in Iowa and South Dakota.

Charles F Kelley Funeral Rites in Merrll Iowa

Charles F Kelley of Merrill Iowa will have funeral services at Lukens Funeral Home Le Mars with Father M Hood officiating. Burial will be at Faith South Dakota with Lukens Funeral Home in charge. Kelley born June 29 1904 at Coon Rapids Iowa married Gertie Lawrence October 22 1905. He farmed in South Dakota many years and died at Sacred Heart Hospital Le Mars after several days sickness. Survivors include five daughters Edith Luense Merrill Irene Pearl Larvon Portland Evonne Pierson in U S Army Germany Leona Eads San Juan Puerto Rico and Martie Randall San Diego plus Kelley in Omaha two sisters and six grandchildren.
