Youths aged about 16 or 17 were picked up in Te Mar Monday after police received a tip they tried to sell a car trouble light believed stolen. Blakely of Plymouth county farm supply asked the city council Tuesday night for a building permit to construct two structures: a 903K square foot warehouse storage of hay and a second 48.28 foot building for bulk fertilizer. A 21,000 gallon gas tank will operate under high pressure nitrogen. Two sites were proposed, one northwest of the passenger depot along TCRR ROW and another west of the depot on C St PM & O ROW. Multiple Chevrolet Collisions On Junction Corner
A two car crash involving 1954 and 1947 Chevrolets occurred at the Million Dollar Corner, Junction of Highways 75 and 10, at 1055 a.m. Wednesday. L yn Calkin of Sioux City slowed to 33 mph when Mrs Foul Miller of Hudson, S Di, pulled from the west. The Culkin car suffered front end damage while Miller’s car roof and right side were damaged. Passengers in Miller’s car included Mrs Miller’s daughter and son Rose Mary and LeRoy Noong, with Rose Mary seriously injured. Marion Dreckman, 14, daughter of Joe F. Dreckman of Le Mars, suffered a broken shoulder blade in a separate Sunday accident on Ovens gravel at the Ovens corner crossing. Dreckman was driving a 1933 DeSoto when his car was hit by another traveling east. Marie Lynn was seated near the door and was taken to Le Mars for treatment. The oncoming car’s driver was from Marcus. Mr and Mrs Edward Black of Le Mars welcomed a daughter Rebeccat Ruth August 30 at Sacred Heart hospital, weighing pounds three ounces. Mr and Mrs John Black of Le Mars are paternal grandparents. Dr. and Mrs Jo Johnson returned from a vacation to northern Minnesota and Canada with Rev. Johnson’s parents in Matson Cin.
