Hospital Escapee Denied Parole Over Eluding Trustees
A men’s reformatory inmate, Donald E Kepner 24 Onawa Iowa, was denied parole by the state pardon board after violating four furloughs and failing to report his whereabouts. He had been granted a 10 day emergency furlough to seek Mayo Clinic examination. Kepner’s disappearance followed a $40 bad check in Le Mars and jail time there, and he is to be returned to the reformatory to serve one to two years for uttering a forged instrument.

Rebuild planned for Seney Alligator elevator
