Rain-making Claims Meet Skepticism Amid Weather Figures
Local notes question rainmaking schemes promising a 10 to 17 percent boost as farmers invest in silver iodide rites. Government data from Le Mars over twenty years show wide yearly rainfall, with 1956 projections to reach 17.97 inches if trends hold. Critics warn against unproven miracles and urge prudent spending while suggesting charity to churches promoting prayer for rain.
