Car Wreck Kills Philip Hayden in Sioux City Area
A two car collision on Terminal Drive near Highway 75 in Sioux City killed Philip William Hayden of Le Mars. Eyewitnesses say an unidentified woman’s car cut into northbound traffic causing the LeFebvere vehicle to swerve and strike a southbound car. Hayden, seated in the right front, died of brain injuries. He was born May 4, 1906 in Le Mars and survived by four children and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Mauer funeral chapel with burial in Le Mars City Cemetery.
