Ruth Kilker and Loren Behrens united in marriage February 19 at St. Johns American Lutheran Church Le Mars the double ring ceremony conducted by Rev L L Beth. Bride daughter of Mrs Anna Kilker and the late Wm F Kilker of Le Mars groom son of Mr and Mrs Fred Behrens of Remsen. Altar bouquets white chrysanthemums. Reception for 150 followed with green and white decorations. The couple will live on a farm north of Pierson after a short honeymoon.
Louis Bramstedt foreman for the state highways commission was a victim of severe weather Thursday morning. He was on duty since 4:00 A.M. keeping highways clear of snow but had to return home with the flu. He only "just" rose from bed Friday afternoon and was reported recovering satisfactorily, though not fully recovered.
