Margaret A Brown Demaray longtime Le Mars resident died at 121 1st Ave South on December 28 after years of illness. She was 94 years, 11 months, and 26 days old. Born January 2 1859 in Lelle county Wisconsin she moved with parents to Harling Jows then Missouri Valley Iowa before settling in Le Mars. The Demaray home opened to many Westarar center boys aiding education. 38 boys found sanctuary there from 1903 to about 1949. Funeral Thursday December 31 1933 at 2:00 p.m. at Mianer’s funeral home with Rev H V Bartz, burial in Le Mars city cemetery. Deceased was a Methodist and Rebecca Lodge member. R J Quendesteads return to Milwaukee after Christmas visit.
