Plymouth County Women’s Christian Temperance Union Meet
The WCCTU annual convention met Thursday July 30 at the Baptist Church with morning devotions led by Mrs. William Hoyt of Union. A pantomime, songs, and a devotional message followed in the afternoon. Mrs. L. Berk urged members to carry lights into darkness and described three types of women in church service. Officers were elected: Paulin president, Hoyt vice president, Hahn secretary, De Findall treasurer. A memorial tribute to Mrs. Bess Langenders and reports from Le Mars and Union Township highlighted a busy year with youth abstinence activities and an anti alcohol school film project.
