FHA Executive Council Session Attends State Meeting in Ames
FHA officials led by Carleen Braune and Edith Johnson attended the Iowa State Executive Council Meeting in Ames on Thursday and Friday to plan district conventions. Eleven fall meetings are scheduled statewide, with a Northwest Iowa district convention at Aurelia on October 3 and a pre planning session at Paulina on September 12.

Senator Guy M. Gillede officiated at the ground-breaking ceremony on the Clara Sibley farm near Clinton as the first electro light pole went up marking the start of a rural electrification program. Fourteen Iowa counties will be prepared to receive power from Fort Randall dam as a 62 mile transmission system begins to serve rural northwest.
