The August 20 1956 Globe-Post notes a wedding with blue and white decorations, a three tier cake, and attendants including Mrs Roman Offerman and Miss Margaret Pertinger. The bride, a Sterden Minnesota native, recently finished beauty school in Florence and works in a Reno salon. The groom, a St Marys High School graduate, is employed as a clerk in Keiser and will reside in Renan with his bride.

Mrs Mary Burggraff of Hartford South Dakota died Monday evening after a two day illness. Born in Luxembourg February 5 1869 she came to the United States in 1880 and lived in Le Mars Chicago and a farm near Hartford before moving to Sioux Falls. Survived by three sons Matt Nick and John and a sister and brother. Burial in St Michaels Cemetery with Barnett Funeral Home in charge. Funeral attendees listed from The Mars Remsen Hawarden and nearby towns.
James Garber age 69 of Audubon died Sunday at his home. Born September 19, he was a retired farmer and married Emma Smith in Stewart, Iowa. Funeral will be Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Audubon. Surviving are his widow Emma, two sons Charge of Le Mars and John of Audubon, plus grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents and a brother.
