Strong Opposition To Open Deer Season In Plymouth County
A Plymouth County petition with 600 signatures urges the state conservation commission to deny a deer hunting season. Farmers and businessmen across the county warn deer numbers are insufficient and hunting could threaten livestock and people. Opposition also runs along the Big Sioux River with farmers fearing deer damage will grow as hunting expands. Betty Hames of Remsen visited the Bornhorst couple in Le Mars this week.
