Le Mars Bride and Groom Unite in Illustrious Ceremony
The Le Mars ceremony joined Miss Delores Ann Kunkel and Ralph Thorpe Sr in marriage at St. Joseph's Church. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Kunkel, wore a white nylon tulle gown with Venise lace and a silk illusion veil. Attendants included Miss Delores Ann Kunkel of Sioux City as maid of honor, with bridesmaids Miss Mary Louise Luken and Miss Doris Schoen. The groom's attendants were Harold Villier and Robert Lawler, with ushers Larry Kunkel and Lawler. A large reception followed at the Le Mars Country Club with 250 guests, and the couple received gifts and best wishes from family and friends.

George Foxen and family toured the Black Hills with many Le Mars acquaintances remarking on the hometown turnout.
