Bond Vote Tallies Near Half Day Total for Gym Bond
A little after one o'clock today polls were open for an hour as 246 votes were cast for or against the $310,000 gym bond issue. Weather favors a large turnout though exact results were not estimated. Polls close at 7 p.m. Wally Ladenthin has taken over the Mohit gas station south of the Kingsley depot, formerly run by Dick Kraft, and will sell Secony products with full service station service.

Accidents Reported Near Ve Mars and LeMars
A Chevrolet owned by Gro tee Bohlke and driven by his daughter Carol sustained extensive damage when a hilltop collision near Ve Mars caused the car to roll over several times. Carol Bohlke was not seriously hurt. Two other vehicles, a 194K Ford driven by Rostald and a USQC Buick driven by Thomas, collided at the 1st Street and Th Avenue intersection about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. no injuries were reported and minor damage occurred to the involved cars.

Mrs Frank Serdinsky widow and mother of six May Malovey died after a car crash with a train bridge impact in Sioux City near South Fairmont Second Street before dawn Saturday. Malovey, injured, told authorities he met Serdinsky Friday night and his wife accompanied him at a Stony City hotel. Roy Rigdon of Le Mars attended funeral services for his brother Charles Rigdon in Omaha on April 8. he was 73.
