Small Employers To Be Brought Under Unemployment Feud Law
Two additional groups of workers in Plymouth County about 630 people would gain job protection under a proposed federal unemployment insurance extension. Local impact cites 360 small Plymouth County establishments and an average of 1.75 workers per firm. Benefits vary by state, with Iowa example $5 for 6 weeks up to $30 for 24 weeks. The change requires only extending coverage to small and nonprofit businesses.
