Printer’s Hatched Plot Prompts Readership Boost Tale
The Le Mars Globe-Post recounts a quirky true story from Iowa about a local merchant who ordered 2,700 copies of a waste-page “throw-away” for mail and house-to-house distribution. Despite low projected readership, the merchant pressed on, and the editor’s honesty about the find in the post office adds a humorous, reflective note on newspaper ethics and language.

Grant Team Wins Baseball Game at Home
Grant defeated Holstein at home in a Sunday game and will play Hull next. Local residents hosted visiting families from Conard Sandrock Harm Heeren and Renken households during the weekend gatherings with card playing and lunch. A fox hunt occurred in Grant's Northwestern port on Monday. Several bus accidents injured or shook up high school students amid very inclement weather last Wednesday morning. Many family visits and birthday reminders for Bernice Plueger and Hannah Klinhaver marked the week. Open House at New Plymouth County home drew attendees from Grant.
