Sacred Heart Hospital plans new addition to house laundry

Sisters of St. Francis at Sacred Heart hospital announce plans to add a 30 by 50 foot wing on the north side to house a new laundry. Existing crowded conditions and little equipment prompted the expansion. Bids will be sought and construction may start soon. ambulance entrance will be widened.

Jola Blum presided at the 38th annual 4-H rally day for Plymouth County girls held May 11 in the Girls H building. Attendance reached 425 as campaigning and officer elections occurred for 1963 64. Merrill Vet Doctor Jacobs Released From Hospital

Dr. Robert C. Jacobs a Merrill veterinarian was released from a Sioux City Methodist hospital where he had been a patient since a heart attack two months ago. He will be available at his Merrill office for consultations until he can resume practice.

Minnesota youth in custody after car theft and crash

Steven Dale Rogers 17 of Richfield Minnesota was arrested after a stolen 1960 Oldsmobile crashed into McComb’s Texaco at Le Mars. The chain began when a stalled car on Highway 73 prompted police to assist and Rogers, reportedly mentally retarded, fled from a probation office wait room prior to the theft.
