A young doctor newly practicing in a tight-knit town receives a late-night call from a distraught wife. He rushes to examine her seriously ill husband though the family were not his patients. The man confesses his own doctor is at home but may be contagious.
The court ruled that the risk from an unguarded welding device and electric fan is obvious and a warning would be superfluous. The decision notes a lawyer’s experience with power tools as context for the ruling on potential injury.

Our society in Iowa, the National T.T.T., held its annual Christmas buffet and gift exchange at Mrs. Fred Miller's home. Co-hostess Mrs. Rudy Adler assisted. Owl ornaments served as favors. Gifts were given to girls sent to Eden Valley T.T.T. camp. Bundles of goodies and gifts were prepared for local families in need.
