Babson Reports forecasts labor conflicts will drive 1973, with 4 million workers in new contracts across rubber, cement, construction, apparel, retail, services, electrical, foods, and key unions like the Teamsters and United Auto Workers. Inflation control, monetary policy, and admin pressure could curb wage and price rises to about 6 percent, while industrial production may rise about 5 percent if disruptions stay limited.
