Longings of a North Country Sailor on the Intrépide
In Squaw Harbor Alaska a young master mariner named Eric Ericsson faces Horton the yacht owner who seeks to recruit crew from Bradford’s short-handed ship. Eric refuses to aid Horton's effort to recruit by pay, while Nan Horton and Captain Waymire seek his help against a dangerous gang led by Sandomar. The encounter foreshadows a tense clash between loyalty, ambition, and dangerous seafaring men as plans for an immediate sailing unfold.
