A seven and a half ton engine hauled flat cars and a hearse like coach carried passengers. A collie guarded the covncatcher, delays frequent as straps loosened. Despite flaws, the line was profitable and sold to Oregon Steam Navigation. Built in 1863 during Washington’s wilderness era.
