He moved from Hamtramck Michigan to Kansas as a child, later started K and K Grinding & Machine Co. with his wife, served as Baldwin City council member and mayor, and was active in youth sports car clubs and church activities. He married Barbara Macklin in 1957 and leaves wife children siblings grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services September 27 at Sutton Cemetery with visitation September 26 at Lamb Roberts Funeral Home. Memorials suggested to Worden United Methodist Church.
Dr James E Roderick Jr 89 of Salina born Feb 18 1923 in Wetmore KS died Sept 10 2012 He graduated from KU Medical School Beta Theta Pi and played guard on the 1943 Big 6 champion Jayhawks He served in Korea and founded Salina Urology Associates He was predeceased by wife Nancy and son David Memorials to Prostate Cancer Foundation KU Alpha Nu Beta Theta Pi or KU Medical School at Salina This obituary notes also Marilyn K Brunk 65 of Grove OK formerly Eudora born July 13 1947 died Sept 23 2012 and services Sept 27 2012 at Holy Family in Eudora.

She trained as a nurse in California served KU Med Providence Hospital and Research Hospital and worked as a public health and school nurse in Kansas City Kansas. Survived by sisters Melissa Watkins daughters Virginia Lindquist and Kenneth Beck Jr six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Donations to St Agnes School or Cross Lines Community Outreach.
