GE Strike Deepens as IUE Cries Unfair Bargaining

The Associated Press reports the AFL CIO and IUE clash during a 1969 contract dispute with General Electric. Couple Injured In Pike Crash

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cornett of Overland Park are in fair condition at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a late Wednesday crash on the Kansas Turnpike ten miles east of East Lawrence. Cornett, 47, has a fractured arm. Ann Cornett, 42, has cuts and lacerations. He lost control, the car crossed the median and hit a tractor trailer driven by Harrd E. Reynolds, 32, of Kansas City.
