Saigon Releases Buddhist Dissident and 88 Viet Cong POWs
The Saigon government pardoned monk Thich Thien Minh, a Buddhist critic, and freed 88 Viet Cong prisoners of war on National Day. Thien Minh, 48, had faced a 10 year hard labor sentence for harboring draft dodgers and illegal arms, later reduced to three years confinement. Most POWs were women, with 63 from Qui Nhon camp and 25 men from Bien Hoa. Each prisoner received 400 piasters and care packages.

Four Skydivers For CU Game
Four skydivers are planned to parachute into Memorial Stadium with red and blue smoke as part of Kansas University's Homecoming on November 8. KU officials must approve the stunt, with a decision expected by Thursday. If cleared, the skydivers would land on the 20 yard line before kickoff of the KU Colorado game.
