California Casts Wary Eyes on Sky
Storm-weary Southern Californians watched clouds today hoping for a cloudy Thanksgiving in place of more rain. Frank A. Theis Dies in Kansas City at 75
Frank A. Theis collapsed during a tribute as Mr. Kansas City of 1965 and died at age 75. A leading grain executive, he chaired Simonds-Shields-Theis Grain Co and led Stratton-Theis Grain Co of St. Joseph. He served 13 years as Kansas City Park Board president and held multiple civic roles. Theis also directed major firms and contributed to government grain policy in the 1930s.
