Pot extract helps kids with epilepsy study shows
A liquid cannabidiol drug, Epidiolex, reduced serious seizures in Dravet syndrome kids from about 12 to six per month in a randomized trial. No THC, not yet sold, GW Pharmaceuticals seeks FDA approval. Three participants became seizure free. side effects included diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue, and sleep problems. The study enrolled 120 children and teens, ages 2 to 18, in the U.S. and Europe.
