Northwest Agricultural Credit Plan Aids Banks and Farmers
Chicago May 20 A $10,000 agricultural credit corporation formed in Chicago at President Coolidge’s suggestion moves to aid more than 960 banks in the Northwest and Midwest. It has a $1,000,000 fund to assist farmers in buying farm animals and aims to extend diversified farming across the region. Bank relief totals about $2,000,000 with nearly $1,000,000 more available, not counting tax or seed aid. Howard notes the Northwest is recovering and will expand as experience warrants.
