Freight Train Kills Two In Belle Plaine Kansas
May 19 in Belle Plaine Kansas Leonard Davis 28 of Belle Plaine and A I Penrose 60 of Udall were killed when a Missouri Pacific freight train struck their motor track. Penrose died instantly and Davis died soon after. The truck was demolished. Davis was a hog buyer and shipper survived by local family. Penrose leaves a widow and son. Widow of Rock Island attorney dies in Topeka
Mrs Marcus A Low widow of the late General Attorney of the Rock Island lines died this morning at her Topeka home aged 81 after two years of poor health. Low, a railroad builder and attorney, died in July 1921. The couple moved to Topeka from Atchison in 1887 and he had served in the Rock Island legal department from then until his death.
