New York Judge Donates Art to KU Museum
Judge Er win Untermyer of New York City gave the Museum of Art at Kansas University art objects valued at 4900 dollars. This is his second major gift in a month, following a 14000 dollar donation. The items include 10 examples of 17th and 18th century textiles and embroideries and a set of collapsible fire screens from the late 18th century. Untermyer is a retired judge and noted art collector who became interested after meeting Chancellor Franklin D. Murphy in New York in March.

Former KU Student Falconer Killed by Power Line

St Benedicts to Honor Former Eudora Resident Dr Grosdidier
Dr E J Grosdidier Kansas City physician and native of Eudora will receive an honorary doctor of laws at St Benedicts College Atchison 97th commencement May 25. He earned a KU medical degree in 1933 and earlier St Marys College and master’s degree. He and his wife plus three daughters live in Kansas City where he serves at Providence and St Margaret’s Hospitals and was Ward High School physician for 20 years. He served in World War II in New Guinea and is a past president of the Wyandotte County Medical Society.
