The body of 22 year old Larry Donald Brown of Topeka was recovered near the Topeka Avenue bridge. Officials say death resulted from a skull fracture believed to be from a fall late Friday or early Saturday. The nude body wore only a ring and wrist watch stopped at 5:45.

TOPEKA AP Shawnee County authorities identified the body found Saturday in the Kansas River as that of a Washburn University student. Dr J L Lattimore the coroner said additional details would be released after formal identification and notification processes.
