Two Men Hijack Plane to Havana
A gunman and a companion with a shiny knife hijacked a National Airlines plane bound for Miami en route to Cuba. They diverted to Havana for a four hour stay before returning to Miami with 66 passengers and seven crew members. The hijackers identified themselves as Mr N Marion and Mr J Gagnon.

About 85 workers attended a breakfast at Eldridge Hotel to launch the 1969 Douglas County Cancer Crusade chaired by James F. Schubert. Kelvin Hoover refused to name a goal while noting over $2,300 already collected in memorials. The drive runs through Monday with rural-area extension. Lebanese army vows action after attacks in southern Lebanon
