Weekend Traffic Wrecks Tie Up Two Injuries At LMH
Lawrence police reported twelve weekend accidents with two injuries treated at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. William A. Dobak 27 of Rt 4 caused a chain crash on Locust at 2 a.m. Sunday pushing a parked car into another, with damages $500 for Davison and $250 for Vantuyl and his own car demolished. The Lawrence City Commission will meet Tuesday at 2 p.m. to consider planning items from the Lawrence Douglas County Planning Commission. Key items include a flood plain zoning amendment for Naismith and East Yankee Tank areas and approval of the Springdale Subdivision plat within the three mile planning area. Also up for bids are demolitions at 832 N.J. and 1104 Tenn, sale of 1704 Harper, a closed circuit TV system for police, and a second reading on the half cent sales tax ordinance.
