A woman who accused police officers of ignoring her rape report cried on learning mobly 25 fled bail and is at large. Mobly pleaded guilty to raping the woman and, with Aaron Cross, to raping a 17 year old. Jennifer W. sues Sparks police for over 900000 for humiliation and being deemed a liar.
Houston resident Shadown Anderson, 25, was arrested Friday near Minden, accused of possessing with intent to distribute over 400 grams of cocaine and resisting an officer. Police say a trooper found the drugs taped to her stomach after she claimed to be pregnant.
At Pennsylvania’s 170 year old Eastern State Prison an unprecedented alumni reunion drew former prisoners and longtime guards back inside. The event featured reminiscences about life behind the stone walls and visits to old cells. Former guard Tony Guida noted the vastness of the prison while others recalled deterrent effects of the Pennsylvania System. Some memories were stark including a near knife incident in a former office. Notable anecdotes included bank robber Willie Sutton’s tunnel request and reflections on the prison’s reform era and later closure.
