Topeka officials value Elmont property at about $100,000
Worsley of the Public Utilities Commission inspected Elmont Kansas property of the Pipe Line company to adjust tax values. The site includes a concrete building 66 by 120 feet two 400 horsepower engines a water tower two 55 000 barrel tanks cooling ponds and several dwellings. Company figures listed the value at 1 000 but commissioners estimated nearer 100 000. Sinclair holdings in Douglas county were valued similarly while county assessors put them near 400 000.
