Twenty-one ex service men applied for membership in a planned colored American Legion post in Lawrence. They last night named the post for Kelly Jones a local colored youth who died in service. Temporary officers were William Wright commander Earl Anderson adjutant and Charles McPike finance officer. A charter will be applied for in two weeks and the post plans a street carnival concession next week.

Prepare Third Floor for Electric Power Company Offices
The third floor of the Citizens State Bank building is being remodeled to house the Kansas Electric Power Company general offices. The Kansas City offices and the company auditing office from Leavenworth will move to the building. Workmen tear out partitions to form three large rooms, with part of the second floor also to be used. The move is scheduled for the last part of June.
