Plane Leap Ends in Pilot Death Near Greenville
An ArmyAir Corps transport plane lost power at 2000 feet over Greenville Alabama. Seven crew members parachuted to safety while Lt. J. Carlisle W. Doniphan Missouri March 16 UPI Led Derry of Poplar Bluff formerly Missouri university football player was sentenced to two two year terms in the state penitentiary following his trial in circuit court yesterday on charges of burglary and larceny. The sentences run concurrently. Derry was convicted for the theft of merchandise from a Poplar Bluff store. An appeal was taken and Derry was released on bond.
