Ron Willis KU professor emeritus dies in Lawrence
Ron Willis, professor emeritus of theater at Kansas University, died last week at his home in Lawrence. He joined KU in 1970 and retired in 2000 after a 30 year tenure as theater director and department chair. A life celebration is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday at Murphy Hall Crafton Preyer Theatre. burial followed a Christian service earlier this week.

Woman Sentenced in Topeka for Embezzlement
Sharon Ann Holladay a 58 year old Lawrence woman was sentenced in federal court after pleading guilty to embezzlement. She received 24 months in prison and must repay 837000 dollars to her former employer, Westchef Company. Holladay, an office manager, accessed the company’s financial system to move funds to a petty cash fund under her control and made unauthorized credit card purchases.
