Harvest this summer double cropping in Douglas County
In Douglas County farmers plan double cropping with soybeans after wheat. Wood notes early harvest could yield two extra weeks for planting soybeans, while Flory targets 15,000 bushels from 400 acres of wheat. A hailstorm remains a risk, but dry weather favors an early harvest for wheat, corn, and soybeans.
