Teen stroke survivor recovers with help of friends and community
Molly Ogden, a Baldwin High School sophomore, suffered a massive stroke six months ago. Doctors warned she might never speak or walk again, but after intensive physical occupational and speech therapy at KU Hospital Madonna Rehabilitation and the Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City she relearned movement and language and returned to school in April. Her journey included brain swelling, skull removal, coma, and a long rehabilitation process supported by family and community.
