The earth fill dam on the Marais des Cygnes River will form a conservation pool of 4000 acres at normal pools and 8100 acres at full pool. Construction is expected to begin in July and be completed in.

Four Escaped Convicts Caught Today in Iowa
Four longterm inmates who escaped from the Iowa Penitentiary at Fort Madison were captured in south central Iowa. Three were nabbed by highway patrolmen and deputies about nine miles west of Albia. Convicted thief marries his Atlanta lawyer in Kansas
