Paraprofessional Job Fair Highlights Local Shortage and Wages
The district usually has about 150 paraprofessionals to assist teachers across 21 schools. Shortage exists but openings are spread out, with wages starting at 9.95 and rising to 12.59 dollars per hour. Health benefits extend through summer for nine month workers.
