HERE apartment complex awaits occupancy permit and incentives
Nearly a year after opening the HERE complex in Lawrence the project still lacks a final occupancy permit and the ability to collect city incentives. Director Scott McCullough says parking shortages prevent full occupancy though no safety issues exist. Once parking meets code and occupancy is approved incentives flow. HERE paid about $260,000 in real property taxes in 2016 under the tax rebate plan.
