Tom Hart chairman of the Lawrence Support Your Local Police Committee presented petitions from about 1,000 Lawrence residents urging hiring 40 more policemen a 15 percent police salary increase an end to the Menninger police community relations program and the purchase of six police dogs. He said other petitions are still circulating and demanded the requests be enacted without any tax increase.

Two Charged After Parsons Drug Raid
