Kansas Forestry, Fish and Game Commission approves a modern deer season with an archery period from Oct 1 to Nov 15 and a gun season Dec 11 to Dec 15. A total of 4,475 firearm permits will be issued across 12 units, mainly in northern and southeastern counties, with boundaries to guide permit use.
