Three Car Crash East of Lawrence Ends With Arrest
A three car collision east of Lawrence yesterday afternoon left two people with minor injuries and led to the arrest of Sherman Taylor 22 Kansas City Missouri on a warrant for bad checks from Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Taylor held on 600 bond for bad check charges and 100 for accident related charges. Injured but treated and released were Mary P. Brown 37 Guymon Oklahoma and Shirley Ann Brown 5 Eudora. Drivers were Taylor Thomas Benton Brown 37 Guymon and David Henry Brown 17 Eudora. The crash occurred about 1 pm at Highway K 10 and Haskell Ave East of Lawrence. Taylor said brakes failed. no damage estimate available.

Naval housing project approved at Gardner base site
