Police stopped a Buick at Third and Locust in North Lawrence and seized eight cases of 100 quart bottles of alleged apricot brandy. Toneka Jan 17 The Senate approved four formal appropriation bills on recommendation of Ways and Means Chair Knapp and sent them to the House. Funds from the state aircraft board were reappropriated for the next biennium including 2000 yearly to District 75 at Lansing for education of children of guards and employees. Mileage and per diem for Kansas electors were set at 538.10 and 600 were allocated to the historic State park at Pawnee Rock. Session lasted just over an hour before adjourning until 10 a m tomorrow.
