Topeka, Jan 18 AP A bill to authorize Governor Reed to employ special attorney generals for investigating alleged violations of liquor and other criminal laws of Kansas was introduced by the ways and means committee. It includes a 240,000 appropriation and a 40,000 fund to be spent under the governor’s direction for enforcement. The bill would empower these assistants to summon witnesses and collect evidence for prosecution.

London Day Brings Thick Fog and Dim Streetlights
Cold weather snapped back to London style as mist and fog rolled over Lawrence residents.
