KU Scholar Receives Hospital Administration Award
E. Jackson Baur a sociology and anthropology professor at Kansas University will be honored with the 1964 Edgar C. Hayhon Award from the American College of Hospital Administrators for his article The Spontaneous Development of Informal Organization published in Hospital Administration. The luncheon award occurs Feb 7 in Chicago at the college's seventh Congress on Administration, with about 1000 administrators and board members expected. Baur joined KU in 1947 and holds degrees from Chicago University. he previously taught at Dillard University and is active in major sociological and anthropological associations.

Colin B. Wright of Oxford England will lecture in philosophy at Kansas University in the spring term. He will teach courses in philosophy and science and the British Empiricists.
