Kansas Cition Sentenced In Douglas County Jail
Adam Porter Gallan, 19, Kansas City Kansas, pled guilty to joy riding and was sentenced Friday to one year in the Douglas County jail by Judge Frank Gray. He had been charged with stealing a car owned by Bill Hill Atwood from a Lawrence parking spot. Judge Gray granted a parole Monday. Preliminary hearings were set for two men charged with forging checks. Jerry Kendrick, 21, of 423 Mich Street, was granted parole from a petty larceny charge and pleaded guilty to taking a pistol in August from a service station where he worked. Argus Fay Cannon 22 Eu dora is charged with writing a check on Nov 19 to Frank's Furniture Co signing the name Donald L Kelch. Charles Baslit Raah 62 Sedalia Mo is charged with signing the name J A to a check given to the Country Corner Store Rt 1. Cannon and Adams are free on 1500 bond.
