Israel approves Har Homa housing plan on East Jerusalem outskirts
Israel on Wednesday approved a new Jewish neighborhood Har Homa on the East Jerusalem hillside, promising 6500 homes plus schools and parks. The move drew international protests, a rare US rebuke, and Palestinian warnings of violence as Netanyahu argued housing needs and a future role for 3015 Palestinian units in nearby neighborhoods.
